SynergyNet is established by
a group of intellectuals and professionals coming from the
academic, business, social service and political sectors,
firmly rooted in Hong Kong. SynergyNet aims to synergize various
forces in society, to rearticulate public opinion and to push
for rational social dialogues that can lead to institutional
reforms, policy renewals and vision building. |

Hong Kong Policy Research Institute was established
in 1995. It is an independent, non-profit making and non-government
think tank. Members are deeply concerned about and actively involved
in long-term development of Hong Kong and the Chinese peoples. Research
studies and responses to various policies are conducted, contributing
to the well being of the community. |

Civic Exchange is an independent Hong Kong-based
public policy think tank that was established in September 2000.
It promotes civic education amongst members of the community, conducts
research on development of economic, social and political policies
and practices to help shape the breadth and depth of public policy
debate and so to provide well-founded and reasoned argument on the
issues identified above. |

The Centre for Comparative and Public Law was established
within the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong in mid-1995.
Its goals are to promote research in the fields of public and comparative
law, and to disseminate the results of that research through publications
and making materials available on-line. The Centre's research projects
include the international law implications of the resumption of
Chinese sovereignty in 1997, including the Hong Kong treaty project,
immigration law and practice, equality and the law in Hong Kong,
the Hong Kong Bill of Rights, human rights protection under the
Basic Law and international human rights law. |

The 30SGroup is a forum that brings young professionals
together to deepen our understanding of issues confronting our community
and to contribute back to society. We are interested in the full
range of issues covering our culture, economy, education, environment,
healthcare, labour, political development, and social welfare. As
a group, we have no perceived political position and are not affiliated
with any other organization. We do not have any financial support
from other organizations or outside individuals. Through independent
discourse and insistence on quality of content, we hope to reach
and voice an informed opinion on issues that are important to our
participants. |

The Professional Commons is an independent, membership-based,
non-profit organisation open to all professionals who share the
same values. We operate under the principles of openness and equality,
and members can freely initiate and participate in task groups in
pursuit of our mission. Our mission statement: To achieve universal
suffrage by 2012; To monitor Government through professional analysis;
To express professional views in the pursuit of public interest;
and To uphold core values of professional independence, freedom
and integrity. |

HKGCRA (Hong Kong Greater China Research Association)
aims at providing invaluable intellectual exchange opportunities
among scholars and students from mainland China and Hong Kong. Various
exchange programmes are hosted, allowing youngsters from both regions
to learn from each other¡¦s unique qualities and social background.
Better understanding and dialogues between locals in Hong Kong and
China can then facilitated. |
